DOH

I cursed at myself for forgetting to switch off the alarm the night before when the phone rang this morning. It's supposed to be an off day for me but of all things, it had to ring today.

I reached for the phone to switch it off then realised that it was actually an incoming call from Enphesis. Grumbling under my breath, I wondered why Enphesis would call me up at such an obscenely early time, then realised that it was actually close to noon when I stole a quick glance at the clock. I suppose it's an ok time to be calling someone, but nevertheless early by my hibernation standards. Usually, I don't wake until the sun sets.

I picked up the call and mumbled a sleepy hello.

Silence.

Fark, I thought. Did he forget to lock his phone and it had dialed my number by accident? Ndazian had the same problem some time back and I used to get 11 missed calls in a row from him. Don't tell me Enphesis was gonna pull a Nda too.

"Hello hello?" Enphesis' hurried voice finally broke the silence.

He had called to ask if I had any way of contacting Notus as he had just sold his paladin account but then realised that he didn't have any of the important information such as the mailing address and secret question for the account which Notus had sold to him. The buyer was some American dude who had already transferred the dough over and Enphesis was getting worried that the guy might think he was out to scam him.

Upon probing further, I found out that Enphesis had sold his account for about SGD 500. That's not too shabby for one paladin. I'm thinking of doing the same too but I'm wondering how much I should ask for a full s3/4 piece s4 priest with capped 5000 arena points and a s2/s3/s4 mix rogue with 3000+ arena points. There's a level 64 oomkin and a low level warrior and mage and about 10,000+ gold in total.

Iris was saying she couldn't bear to sell her Maple account but what the heck... my Ultima Online account is just collecting dust now with 13 million in the bank and a stable full of white wyrms. Sentimentality had cost me being a few hundred dollars richer.

So... once I was done helping Enphesis out, I steadied myself and dived right back onto the bed. I heard a soft off tune squeak upon impact and I got up bewildered to trace the source of the elusive squeakiness.

Oh... fuck me.

I had accidentally knee-d my cell phone when I crash landed on the bed and the force of impact had cracked the screen, causing 3/4 of it to black out into oblivion. Just when I picked it up to examine the damages, the phone resounded with a chirpy SMS tone. The message read:
